More information about this house sitter

Although currently still working part-time (health issues), I I am looking for a way to save and go on the road to do the work with the Salvation Army around NSW & Qld. Because I work in Canberra, I am looking for sits in the area including Queanbeyan.

I am single and an active member of my local Salvation Army Corps.

I have recently become a 'grey nomad' looking for places to park my caravan (16 feet) thus avoiding park fees. I would need a place like a driveway or space in the yard to set the van.

I keep the place clean and tidy. I do not bring strangers to another person's home as I respect the need for security.

For ministry purposes I have a 'Working With Vulnerable People' card (ACT-July 2015) and 'Working With Children Check' (NSW - Oct 2015) which required police checks.

I can supply references from house sitting (Jun-Oct 2015) and the unit owner previous shared-rental (3years to Jun 2015).

For a few years I had a Labradoodle (rather large) and a young boxer to care for as well as a cattery which my partner at the time bred lovely little kitties from. I walked the dogs for 20-40 mins each day, as well as making up a healthy batches of mince and veggies each week for them. It was my job to keep the cattery clean as well. I enjoy the company of pets, and the exercise is good for me.

I do not have a lot of energy for this sort of thing nowadays, but am happy to do basic upkeep of the yard and watering.

Nowadays I stay at my daughter's place (in Canberra) and mind the cat and chooks for her when the family goes on holidays. I also love spending time with my grand children.

I house sat for 3 months recently at a friends place. She would be happy to supply a reference.
Prior to that I was sharing a unit for several years. I can ask my flatmate can provide a reference as well. Read more...
