Hey there!
My partner and I are moving to Melbourne in January 2025 and we’re looking for a place to house-sit until our rental is ready in early March. We’re both young professionals – my partner is a graduate engineer and myself, a future Master’s student at the University of Melbourne. We’re in our mid to late 20s, quiet, clean, and absolutely love animals.
We have plenty of experience house-sitting, including taking care of small hobby farms with poultry, horses, birds, and guinea pigs. We’ve looked after pets of all ages, including those needing complex medication and extra attention, like ex-racing greyhounds and other dog-reactive pets.
I am an avid gardener and had a collection of exotic tropicals, natives, succulents, and everyday veggies when we lived in QLD. I’ve also kept freshwater aquariums for years, so your fish will be in good hands too.
We’re hoping to house-sit from around January 10th to early March 2025, but we’re flexible on dates (just not before January 8th). We prefer longer stays to avoid moving around too much. Ideally, we’d like to be close to the CBD/inner city area since that’s where we’ll be working and studying. My partner works 9-5 during the week, but I’ll be home most of the time because of my studies.
