No WOW Factor here. Just old fashion Trust and Accountability.
Well Hello. Brad here, thank you for taking the time to view my profile.
So, I’m sitting here wondering - what is that WOW factor a homeowner like you, looks for when viewing numerous housesitting profiles like mine?
What is it that I need to say, or do, or more importantly ‘have done’ to make you put my profile on the MAYBE pile, as opposed to the NO WAY pile? And you know what - I have absolutely no idea what that magic ingredient is!!!!
So, I’m going to resort to the one thing that has never failed me –:
The ‘KISS’ Factor - Keep It Simple Stupid!
So here is me in a nutshell.
I’m old school. Born in an era where trust, respect, values and a firm handshake measured a man’s worth.
I’m newly retired having worked in the construction industry in Management roles both nationally and internationally for most of my working life. I’ve worked FIFO for many of those years. I’m a chippy by trade and that trade has taken me around the world working for many major organisations on global projects. But now, these ‘ol knees have seen better days, I’ve hung up the tool belt and clocked off for the last time. I’m finally ready to reap the rewards of my hard-earned taxes and become a Pensioner courtesy of the Australian Government.
As my children are now adults living their own lives, and I’m at a point in my life where I’m free to spend time discovering this wonderful country; I’ve decided to give this housesitting idea a shot and experience life viewing it from someone else’s back deck.
I have numerous personal character references that I can provide upon request. Having done the work I have, for the majority of that time I have been provided quality accommodation so accountability on how that property was treated and how it was left when vacated was always a big factor. I have many attributes I can bring to your housesit that will not only ensure your home is looked after and respected in your absence, but you would also have peace of mind in knowing that as a fit, healthy capable male, I have the ability and know how to address issues of burst water pipe bursts, door handles falling off, or if Mother Nature targets your property in your absence – I’m also your fix it handyman in residence and will address those matters in consultation with you.
I don’t own a motorhome or caravan (not yet anyway), so any housesits I undertake, I would need to reside as a guest in your home using your facilities.
