You found us. You were looking for the perfect housesitters right? We believe with our experience as full time sitters and who we are we're as close as you can get, so thanks for viewing our profile. We're houseproud, animal loving, responsible, down to earth, kinda geeky, homebodies. We go the extra mile because it's who we are. We care & we believe in good karma and what goes around comes around. We want you to feel like you couldn't have left your home, garden, fur babies or other type pets in better hands. We can provide plenty of references but love to meet in person so you know you've made the right choice.

We are also home owners ourselves but our house in Canberra has been rented for the last 15 years. We consider ourselves Sunshine Coast locals so we have plenty of experience in home and pool maintenance. With both my husband and I being raised on rural properties we also have experience with slashing grass, fencing, water conservation with rain water only etc, We are well equipped to look after everything from a unit in the CBD to a rural property.

Chris my hubby of nearly 16 years is an IT Technical Specialist that works from home for one of the major banks. He can work anywhere as long as he has good internet as understandably he uses a lot. He loves nature photography and gardening.

Our quiet, book worm son is nearly 14. He loves reading, gaming, animals, Dr Who, running just because it's fun and the outdoors. He's very responsible and before we became fulltime house sitters he had a job delivering junk mail as he's too young to have a normal part time job. He attends a school with an organic farm managed by the high school kids and can drive a tractor so using a ride on is easy for him. But he's just as happy to run around with a push mower. I don't know why but he thinks mowing is "fun". He does have one quirk. He sleeps on the floor, not a bed and has ever since he could climb out of bed as a little one. He just likes it and honestly it makes travelling anywhere with him really easy because we can fit just about anywhere. But you'll understand why I like to keep the floors that little bit extra clean. A bonus all round really.

I'm a kinesiologist/artist/mum that is currently taking time off working (except the mum bit cause it's a lifetime gig) to enjoy life with my family. Which brings me to why we're doing this. We have spent a year nursing my dad back to health from cancer which he is now free of. We are very grateful but it's left it's mark & we realise life is very short and precious. After Dad returned home we began housesitting again for friends but ended up doing it so often we started to think about going fulltime. So that's what we did.

Hence we want to save for a motorhome by housesitting and then travel Australia for a year. Our sons high school will let him Skype via computer so his education will continue & with wonderful experiences seeing our fantastic country. Until then we like to housesit within an hour of the Sunshine Coast where possible so he can still attend school in person. However for longer housesits we are able to be flexible and can housesit anywhere. Skyping into school is great practice for him for when we'll hit the road with our motorhome.

We are non smokers, non drinkers (expect for Chrissy, wedding type toasts), we love life but are genuinely happy hanging out together playing board games, taking long walks and having picnics (see I told you we're kinda geeky). We are very much an animal loving family. We even have a reptile licence and have experience with snakes and lizards so we can look after all animals. Your pets will be cuddled and loved as if they were ours.

If you don't have pets no worries. We treat every place with the respect as if we owned it ourselves. I am very houseproud and will certainly keep your place clean and tidy. I even bring my own non toxic, environmentally friendly cleaning products but I'm happy to use yours if you prefer. Unless you consider family games night as wild you can have peace of mind knowing your home will be occupied and taken care of.

We will stay in touch with you as much as you like so you can feel 100% confident that everything is taken care of just the way you would like it to be. We want you to be so happy you'd love to have us back. We want to take the time to learn what is important to you, either in person or via Skype.

I think that's what sets us apart. If you're fur baby needs a certain food, loves their tummy rubbed or to be patted in a certain way. How they play? What special care your plants need? What should we take extra care with such as glasses that were a wedding present or something you bought on your honeymoon. You get the idea. When I say we care it's genuine. You're leaving us with what matters the most to you so we're happy to do whatever will leave you knowing you made the best choice. We want you to be pleased that you picked us so you can enjoy your time away.

We have a little Moodle (toy poodle x maltese). Truffle is well socialised and has all hair no fur so she's 100% non shedding. She is used to being at other peoples houses with all sorts of pets. She was swiped on the nose by a cat as a puppy so she is no trouble with cats because she steers clear of them. She hates to have dirty paws so she wont dig up ANYTHING. We have a tried and true method of introducing Truffle to places we housesit at and have never had a problem even when owners have been concerned about their pets reaction. Rest assured. We'd never ever under any circumstances take on a sit where we thought ours or your pets would be stressed.

We can give you plenty of references and are currently having our Blue Cards renewed as we do lots of work with our sons school. If you are not too far from the Sunshine Coast we can meet you in person. Otherwise we can chat via Skype so you can see if you think we'll be a good fit for you.
