We’re Tara and Selim, a married couple in our 30s and early 40s. We’re both passionate about animals and lead an active lifestyle. Over the past six years, we’ve worked and volunteered at sea with various NGOs, including Sea Shepherd and search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean. This experience has made house sitting an ideal arrangement for us, as our work often involves being away at sea for a few months at a time, followed by a few months off.

Since we travel frequently and cannot have our own pets, house sitting allows us to enjoy the companionship of cats and dogs, complete with morning walks and cozy couch time! We’re currently taking an extended break from our maritime work and have spent the past year house sitting around Melbourne.

We both enjoy regular exercise and love getting outside to play, walk, or run with pets. We’re also happy to help with gardening or other home maintenance tasks. We are clean, respectful, and reliable, and we don’t smoke or drink. Our diet is clean and vegan.

We both grew up with an assortment of pets, and had large dogs that lived to a ripe old age. We’ve also pet-sat a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, and even farm animals.
