Hello! I’m 60-years-young, fit and healthy, British-Australian citizen/ dual passport holder and for the last two decades, a full-time professional freelance travel and leisure writer (although the global pandemic has greatly impacted my travel industry career).

I’ve recently just undergone huge lifestyle changes, in August 2021 relocating back to Australia after 19 successive years living and working in Southeast Asia. Since then, ’ve been holed-up at my family residence in Sydney, while I look for suitable work and eventually, when I can afford it, somewhere to rent. Currently in limbo land, needing to save money, give my family a break from their long-term visitor and a much-needed change of scenery and some independence living alone, housesitting seems the ideal temporary solution for me at this transitional time of my life!

I’ll be honest – and that’s just it, I’m honest and transparent – I haven’t undertaken any housesitting in Australia, yet, but am extremely reliable, clean and tidy, respectful of other people and their precious homes, conscientious and trustworthy. I’ve got a clean CV Police Check (Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check Certificate) and Working With Children Check clearance (expires December 2026) and am a non-smoker and double Covid vaccinated. I don’t drive / have a car so will be mostly home-based focused on my household daily duties and as a mature sitter with hardly any friends here after being away so long, rest assured, there’ll be no visitors!

I especially love dogs and have always had a great bond with our four-legged friends; as I love the great outdoors and hiking, I'll really enjoy taking them out on walkies. I’ve always wanted a dog of my own, so this would be a real treat looking after one (or two). I’m comfortable with most animals, however, I’m unable to look after any cats.
