A bit about me....
I started pet/house-sitting last year, although I also did it quite a bit when I was young and living with my parents. I am 39 years old and love living alone which I have done most of my adult life, but at the moment I again find myself living with Mum and Dad :/ I feel the need to explain why I'm a grown-up living with my parents, so here's a quick summary...
In 2016 I was living overseas when I was diagnosed with cancer. I had given away or sold just about everything I owned to go off on my big adventure and also had no home or job to come back to. I didn’t have much choice but to move in with my parents who did a wonderful job of caring for me while I went through treatment. When the worst of the treatment was over, I was ready to be independent again, definitely ready for some 'me time', but not quite ready to go back to work. House-sitting is the perfect solution. I get time to myself, get to hang out with gorgeous animals, my parents get their space back and I don’t have to pay rent!
I have been studying towards a masters degree and I can do that anywhere I have WiFi access which means you'll have the added security of someone being home most of the time hitting the books (or let's face it, watching Netflix ;)). I’m very much a home-body. I’m quiet, clean and tidy, I love all animals and I’ll treat yours like my own while you’re away. I’ve got quite a green thumb too, so if you have gardens to look after, I’m very happy to do that, I find it therapeutic :)
I will treat your home and your pets with the utmost respect and ensure your home is spotless for your return. There’s nothing worse than coming home from holidays and having to clean (I know, I've been there).
