The thought of someone else not only looking after your home but potentially your treasured pets can be daunting. Having trusted our own homes in the past with house sitters we fully understand the anxiety and worry that can come with that experience. We will do everything we can to ease that worry.
We are an easy going non-smoking couple who have moved back to Australia after living in Canada. We are both experienced travellers and love the outdoors. We have been house sitting to get to know Brisbane again. Frank is the native Australian and it's been away from Brisbane for some time. Roxanne, having lived her whole life in Canada is now enjoying the Aussie lifestyle after getting a taste with frequent visits in the past.
We currently have no pets of our own so expect yours to get spoiled with attention. Both of us like walking dogs (great exercise for us too), and getting that privileged cuddle from a cat. Big dogs or small dogs, long haired or short haired cats, your pets will get loved as if our own.
We're experienced with a variety of pets such as cats, dogs, birds (budgies parrots finches), fish, and chooks/ducks. We also like to keep hosts updated with how their pets holiday at home is going. We frequently upload pictures or video of your pets for additional piece of mind.
Around the home we are both quite handy if problems arise. Franks gardening/yard work skills come as a graduate of his fathers Child Yard Work Apprenticeship Program as a youngster. We would expect to treat your home with respect as lets face it, we're guests. I wouldn't say I'd treat it as my own home, more like I'd look after it in a manner you would want it to be looked after while you were away.
As we're non smokers and only social drinkers our entertainment is eating out. We'd love to get to know your local area and it's restaurants and cafes as we rediscover Brissy.
** UPDATE **
We've been fortunate enough to be trusted with a variety of house sits so far and it's been awesome. We've met and befriended some amazing people and fallen in love with their pets. With sits from Wynnum Esplanade to West End each suburb has had something we loved. Whether it was green spaces with pathways to walk the dog or nearby restaurants to walk to, waterfront or bushland reserves. Thank you to all those who have not only trusted us with their homes but let us spoil your pets while you were gone. We look forward to meeting even more homeowners and their pet families.
