Hello! I am originally from Adelaide but have lived in Sydney the past 2.5 years as a post-graduate medical student at the University of Sydney. I have currently deferred my university studies for a year to take things a bit more slowly and focus on my writing and painting (I love creative endeavours!)

I am a huge animal lover - I grew up in Adelaide with two cherished dogs for 16 years (golden retriever and cocker spaniel) and later on, with two beautiful cats. On top of this we were also associated with wildlife rescue organisations and hand-reared orphaned animals (mainly possums and birds). I also have experience nursing a very sick cockatiel back to health and being inseparable with him for 5 years following that.

With my studies deferred and more time to spend at home, I have welcomed the opportunity to look after animals and house-sit for others. I miss the comfort and calm living with pets brings. I am neat and organised and like to keep my living space this way as well. I am also a non-smoker. I am responsible, reliable and highly respectful of other people and their homes. I have worked in positions that require these attributes such as counsellor on mentoring program for troubled youths, receptionist at a doctor's clinic, and tutor for high school students in maths and physics.

I love to go for walks and would enjoy any opportunity to take a pet-companion with me. I have experience with energetic pets (my sister's dog, who I have pet-sitted for countless times is a husky/boxer/german shepherd - pictured) as well as with administering regular medications for pets that need this. My sister is also a vet and has worked in small-animals practice for a number of years, so I have learnt a lot about animal caring through her.

My schedule over the next few months will allow me the freedom and flexibility to spend portions of the day at home in the company of other creatures. I will be out some mornings partaking in art classes and some evenings attending dance classes.

Being new to this website, I have a list of external references for house and pet-sitting that I can pass on. I also have a police check dated from 2016 (just before beginning my medical degree) that I can send alongside two references for previous house tenancies. I can attain an updated police check and send along a general CV if requested.
