Hi, hello, howdy and good day!

You have found your ultimate house sitters right here, not just because we're animal lovers who happen to have a green thumb, but we are also sensible, considerate and accountable, with an ethos of "It's important to leave things the way we found them or better." Why is this starting to sound like a dating profile? Fear not, you're on the right page. Do read on :)

Our names are Ellen and Johnny. We're a long term couple of more than ten years, in our early to mid thirties, reliable, mature minded, trustworthy, tidy, non-smoking, non-partying, practical duo who would love to take care of your home for you while we work online from our laptops, yoga, explore the area, go for bushwalks, play boardgames, cook, write and ponder about when those borders will lift so we can all travel again.

Having been home owners and travellers ourselves, we absolutely understand how important it is to have the peace of mind that your home, mail, pets and gardens will be taken care of in your absence. We apply the same diligence and care to your home as we would our own.

We have plenty of experience in looking after animals, especially chickens, dogs and cats. We are also experienced travellers, professional renovators and hobby gardeners.

We really enjoy meeting new animal friends through house sits. This allow us to scratch the itch of having a furry companion before we commit to our own lifetime furry family member. On the other hand, you get to go away, knowing your fur baby will be pampered with lots of attention, pats and play time.

Of course, we'd also be happy to send you photos to keep you updated on how everything is going back home so you can relax while you're away, knowing your house sitters have everything under control.

As we are often working from home for several hours, we do require reliable wifi, but this also means higher security as someone will be home most of the day and your pet will have someone to play with.

If your pet has special needs we're happy to accomodate this and follow any written instructions you leave for us.

We completely understand the importance of a 'get to know' session. If needed, you can reach us on the phone or arrange a video call beforehand.

Verbal references can be supplied on request (as we'd need to check with previous hosts if they're okay for us to pass on their phone numbers first.)

"Johnny and Ellen were our first workawayers ! They were very respectful, helpful and nice. They worked in the garden and in the house (cleaning and cooking) especially when the weather was not nice. They proposed us to and built a seed distributor for our hens, that is very useful. It was very nice and so interesting to meet them and we exchanged a lot about many subjects. We all enjoy their stay at home, also our son Django who played (and won!) with JO and EL ;-) at 7 wonders."

It is a relief that they are calm, efficient and logical in their approach to work and have helped us with many things here including animal care, garden care, building maintenance, painting, improving our workaway profile and photos, responding to english enquiries promptly when we were too busy to answer them, cooking and cleaning.
