More information about this house sitter
Hi, I'm a 65y/o retired Art teacher/ disability support worker. I taught High school art for a number of years before moving to the disability sector where I worked in the community, supported accommodation and supported learning/ day programs before finally working for myself teaching ceramics out of my home studio. I grew up in the country with farmers in the family so would be comfortable caring for a wide variety of animals.
I have travelled extensively overseas and in 2000 I moved to Scotland and lived there for 7 wonderful years working as a Nanny and managing a Ceramic studio.
I have now retired to Lithgow with my beautiful little companion dog Freddie. He is a young Japanese Spitz x Maltese x Shih Tzu and loves all people and all dogs. He is used to cats, giving them well deserved respect when visiting friends places.
I love working in my garden, growing both vegetable and ornamental plants, doing photography, and many other artistic pursuits.
I have previously done private house sitting in the Blue Mountains and Port Macquarie via word of mouth by friends for people with dogs and gardens to care for. I have now also done 3 house sits for lovely people and dogs through this site. All 3 have asked me to return in 2026 to care for their homes and dogs again.
Now I'm retired I look forward to exploring more of Australia's beauty through house sitting.
I am totally enjoying this experience. Read more...
