Hi. I'm a single, 59-year-old woman who worked for 23 years as a volunteer with the Baptist church in the Middle East where I taught and assisted refugees and migrant domestic workers. I have 3 houses in Tauranga, New Zealand which are rented out. That income and housesitting for the past 5 years has enabled me to retire early. I'm tidy and quiet-living. I love to go on long walks each day and enjoy the company of a furry friend. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker, quiet, and tidy. I have 19 fabulous reviews on a NZ housesitters' website (link available on request - unable to include it here). Here is one of them, "Stephanie did a great job of looking after Ron, our older dog, for the 5 months we were away. Stephanie is an awesome and regular communicator: she sent us photos and videos of Ron, updated us on their adventures, kept us informed of any problems and was quick to get in touch for advice. Stephanie went above and beyond what we expected. She was quick to take initiative: for example, taking Ron to the vet and paying out of pocket expenses for household and pet maintenance when unexpected issues arose. We were thankful to came back to a smiling Stephanie and a happy dog at the airport, and back at the house, much to our surprise, lilies on the table and a newly planted vegetable garden. Thank you, Steph, for all you did to take care of our home, and more importantly, Ron, your friend for life."
