Our goal: to care for your pets and home as we would our own.
As long-term home and pet owners and avid and active travelers, we fully understand the stresses (both on you and your pets) of you being away. With each house sit, we seek to ensure your peace of mind that your pets and home are getting the very best of care. Our reward is in seeing new places, becoming a temporary member of your community and, perhaps best of all, we have the opportunity to enjoy the endless variety of pets and their personalities.
Experience: We've now completed 15 house sits; eleven in Australia (Brisbane, Blackheath, Newport, Nowra, Tasmania, Moss Vale, Como, Wentworth Falls, and Blakehurst, Mosman, Camperdown), and Thailand, Hawaii, Washington (2) and Oregon while taking care of dogs, cats, parrots, chickens, rabbits, and sheep.

A little more about us: Maureen is a New Orleans native, a registered nurse, a certified hypnotherapist and a master gardener. Among her interests are yoga, hiking, reading, gardening and, her newest quest, the hunt for the elusive chanterelle mushrooms in the Oregon forests.

Jim, a Pennsylvanian/Floridian, served in the US Peace Corps before a long career in the energy industry and in financial planning/investment management. Beyond travel, learning histories and cultures as we go, sailing and hiking are his continuing interests.

Together we have been home and pet owners and have managed properties for many years, experiencing most of life's minor emergencies from leaking plumbing and roofs to ailing baby rabbits and broody hens.
