Dear Home Owner(s),

We are a retired English couple, in our seventies, who have considered seeking a permanent residence in Australia. Having stayed with our daughter and her family in Melbourne many times, we feel that we should live independently for some of our time visiting them.

We are extremely ‘house and garden proud’ and very considerate of our neighbours. The care and respect of any home that we occupied would be of paramount importance and, of course, the privacy of that home owner, too.

Similar attention is given to any pets in our care, who are consistently tended to as a priority. We have owned many cats in the past (most recent ones were 2 beautiful Birmans) and regularly look after our friends’ dogs in our own home.

A few years ago, we had the pleasure of house sitting in some friends of our daughter’s home in Sandringham, where we also cared for their much loved dogs for 4 weeks (the house owners have offered to be our referees). Earlier this year, we also enjoyed house/dog/cat/chicken/fish sitting for 10 days in South Frankston.

In addition to our regular weekly games of Bridge (we organise our local Bridge club in the small town where we live), we enjoy walking and riding our bicycles – weather permitting, particularly beside the sea!!
