Thank you for considering us as your house sitters.

We are honest, caring, friendly and responsible people who will respect both your pets and your home. We are non-smoking Australian 60 year old retired professionals that have been together for 36 years (married for 33 years).

As we owned our own house for 22 years, we understand how difficult it must be to allow strangers to look after your home and pets for you. As with all our house sits we see our role as mainly twofold:

Firstly, to make sure your pets are happy and that your absence has the least impact on their well-being. We enjoy walking each day so taking your pets for a daily walk would be no problem. We have had pets in the past (when our children were growing up) and we enjoy their company - we are happy with whatever games are normal for your pets. Everyone is different so we would be guided by your needs.

Unfortunately Paul is allergic to cats and could not house sit where cats have been - all other animals are fine

Secondly, caring for your home while you are away and returning it in the same condition as you left it (including replacing anything we use) is important as we see it. We see the day to day house, yard and pool cleaning and upkeep as part of our role. We have sold our family home (with an in ground pool) of 22 years and are familiar with household cleaning and maintenance.

Apart from that we are flexible - it is someone else's pets and home and we see our role as fitting in with them as much as possible.

We are in excellent health and enjoy walking, golf, fishing, movies and the occasional game of cards. We are organised and reliable with good communication and computer skills from our executive careers. Paul is a retired CPA and Justice of the Peace.

We understand technology and used it to keep in touch with family whilst we were previously travelling overseas for 18 months and are more than happy to provide regular updates while you are away. Read more...
