Hello, my husband Paul and I are both excited to become your favourite pet and home sitters. We are friendly, reliable and love a clean home and property. We will look after your pets and home as if they were our own.

I retired in 2017 after a long career in the Senior Executive Service of the Queensland and NSW governments, in human services. My linked in profile details my career and there are many references you can see that speak to my character. I am unable to include the link in my profile but I can easily supply it separately upon request.

Paul also retired in 2017. His work over the years included running a garden maintenance business, carpentry and being a disability support worker.

We have two adult sons living in Brisbane and we love all kinds of animals. Pets have included dogs, cats, fish, Guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles and we were wildlife carers for birds while in Cairns for a period.

Paul lived on a hobby farm many years ago and cared for a variety of animals.

We love to travel and have lived in several different places in Australia including Cairns (13 years), Canberra, Wollongong, Gold Coast and Brisbane. We designed and built a home in Cairns and currently own an inner city apartment.

We have done significant amounts of overseas travel, mainly staying in airbnbs. Most recently, we spent two years slow travelling in the Mediterranean, parts of Europe, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and Ecuador. We usually stayed in airbnbs for a minimum of four weeks at a time. We have solid references from this experience demonstrating we are great caretakers.

While we own an apartment, we haven’t settled down yet and want to keep exploring different parts of Australia.

We are non drinkers and non smokers and own our own reliable vehicle. Read more...
