My name is Sarah Carter. I have previously used this site to find a house sitter for my 19 year old fur baby/cat - Kookla (sadly, he passed last August).

Now, I'm back on the site as my fiancé and I would love to get away this Summer. We hadn't booked anywhere as we have just finished successive IVF rounds which were not successful, so we are taking a breather for a couple of months.

I was the Mayor of Maribyrnong last year and am currently Deputy Mayor. I have been elected for 14 years (four terms) and am a genuine, responsible and trustworthy professional woman. I also work in government relations managing the Australian Regional Leadership Initiative for Save the Children and the Gates Foundation. I don't have references from prior house sitting roles as this would be my first, but I love animals (my Koukla was literally my baby for 19 years). I can provide character references from my long term vet, community leaders, and individuals.

My fiancé Aaron is desperate to get a dog as he used to have a rescue dog that sadly too passed of old age, before we met. I'm resisting until we know whether we'll have a little human on board next year but close to caving as we both have a lot of love to give and want animals in our lives.

Aaron is in advertising - he's a pretty lovely guy, hence why we are getting hitched and trying to make a little human.

But a break is definitely called for and we'd love to look after your pad as if it were our own, with great care and respect and snuggle/love your fur babies (unless of course, snuggles aren't their thing).
