More information about this house sitter

My name is Samantha, people call me Sam. I am 46 years old, single with no kids. I am a hard worker and enjoy the simple things in life, such as travel, reading, film and TV. I also enjoy getting out into the fresh air and especially like going for walks along the beach in St Kilda or Elwood...... or any beach really!

I'm well known amongst friends and family to be organised, clean, neat, and someone who can be relied upon, who has integrity, is genuine, friendly and a down to earth nature.

I recently completed a certificate in Travel and Tourism and am looking for work in this area. Having made this bold move to change careers and return to study, led me to seek alternatives to pay my mortgage. So, I have decided to rent out my place and do some house sitting.

Obviously, I value my home and will treat your home with respect and care. I am a homebody and value a relaxed serene oasis to live in therefore will treat your home as such.

My Housesitting experience has mainly consisted of sitting for friends and family regularly over the years, I am often the go to person!

My official or 'professional' housesitting journey began last December 2018 over the Christmas/New Year period, minding two adorable cats in East St Kilda. Since then I have completed assignments in Werribee, Caulfield, Yarraville, Footscray and Port Melbourne.

Last year back in June, I lost my cat, and sadly, she still remains missing. So in a sense this has also triggered me to make this move. I believe it will assist me with going through the change of not having her around anymore, and also I would love to have the experience of caring for a pet again. I like the idea of something temporary at the moment, and this seems to fit the bill, serving many purposes!

I'm finding this new lifestyle experience has been so positive and rewarding for me. In the most amazing way it has cemented my love for animals even more. I relate well to them and they to me. I feel compassionately drawn to them and instinctively want them to be happy and caed for. It seems that I have found my place in this world in the most unexpected but organic way.

The very sad experience of losing my cat has been a factor in leading me to this. A prime example of a negative leading to a positive, needing to occur so that the next phase could.

With so much sadness out there in regard to animal welfare, like strays, pets being neglected or mistreated, I find that caring for the pets who are very much loved and wanted a positive experience. I like to think I am contributing to pet welfare in general and one day I would like to do some volunteer work at a shelter or something else related.

I Prefer to find house sits close to St Kilda/surrounding suburbs. Or I'm also looking at possibly a sea change in the future so would love to find a housesitting assignment somewhere coastal at some stage.

I am interested in gaining some experience with looking after dogs as I have had little experience with dogs, but I can guarantee you my love for cats is very clear.

So, in summary here's what I can offer:

Trust, experience, References, Police check, Working with Children Card, Non smoker, General all round nice person, Committed homebody, Honesty and Reliability, Animal lover.

lets help each other out! its a win/win.
