Respectful, honest and reliable animal loving, house-sitter

Hi, my name is Trudy. I am a happy and healthy 62 year young non-smoking, animal-loving, retired public servant. House and pet sitting offers you and me a win-win. It is the perfect combination of doing what I love, seeing new places and spending time with animals, whilst giving you peace of mind knowing your home and pets are in capable caring hands in your absence.

I have lived with animals all my life having grown up on a farm in Tasmania before moving to Canberra in the 1980s. I have shared my life with 7 beautiful dogs and 11 gorgeous cats as well as rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, and budgies. My pets are as much a part of my family as my two-legged family members. Understanding that some pets get anxious (just like us humans do) I will do my utmost to ensure your pets are cared for in as close to the same routine and style they are used to with you, be it being fed or walked at a particular time of day to as many snuggles and cuddles as they want. I have also nursed and cared for my pets during their illnesses and old age, nursing them through kidney failure, epilepsy, and cancer, so you can feel confident that if your pet is aged or unwell or is on medication he or she will be getting experienced personalised care in your absence.

I take pride in my home keeping it clean and tidy and would do the same with yours. I’m also happy to water plants and gardens, collect newspapers and mail, change kitty litter etc. If your pet needs taking to the groomer or the vet in your absence I’m happy to do that too. Just let me know what you require as my aim is to ensure you and your pets have a fun and stress free time during this period of change. I am happy to face time with you any time of day or night to give you reassurance that all is well with your home and pets in your absence.

I had a Working With Vulnerable People card (police check) when doing volunteer work at Ronald Macdonald House, however this has now expired. I am also happy to provide copies of my drivers licence and passport.
