More information about this house sitter

We are a family from Tasmania, now without a home base as we plan to be long term travellers for a while. We are slowly moving around Australia house-sitting and in between living and travelling in our caravan.

We really like housesitting as it gives us a chance to interact with animals, we miss our own dearly, and spend time with gardens, as well as get to know a new place in Australia. Before we left our house we used house sitters ourselves many times, so we know how important a good house sitter is. As part of our house sitting role we work hard at communicating well, and making sure we do what home/pet owners want done for their home and animals.

We have experience with dogs, cats, fish, chickens, other birds, horses, cows, goats, and native wildlife. We are both keen gardeners. We have done some work with larger properties, but do not claim to be farmers. Tim is a handyman type so basic maintenance is fine.

We are stopping to work as we travel so long and short stops are welcome. Our kids are age 3 and 8 and very adaptable, and respectful of rules and other peoples spaces.

We have lovely references from previous house sitting episodes, though I cannot work out how to upload them to this site so I will have to email them to you. They are all genuine and previous home-owners are happy to be contacted for a personal reference.

Our main photo includes the oldest child (long dark hair) who is not travelling with us, but it's such a nice photo I thought I would use it as our profile - my two kids are shown in our other photos along with various animals we have cared for.

We are going to be in southwestern WA from December and looking for housesitting positions from mid January as we are booked up until then. Read more...
