More information about this house sitter

We are Andy and Pippa, experienced house, farm and pet sitters. We’re engaged, have recently moved back / to Australia from London, and are travelling around the country trying to find the place that we’d like to call home in the future.

Andy is 35, British and is a tennis coach. Pippa is 32, Australian and is a Chartered Accountant.

We are both passionate about animals and nature and would really value the chance to spend some time with your pets, because as we are still travelling, we aren’t able to have any pets ourselves. We believe pets are your family and we will take care of them as if they are our own children.

Andy spent his teenage years growing up on a sheep and ostrich farm in South Africa, so he’s pretty confident taking care of most farm animals. He also had his own mango farm in the Transkei in his early 20’s, so he's very much at home with the outdoor/farming lifestyle. He's also equally at home in the city/suburban areas having lived in various cities around the world and taking care of friends pets as well as his own.

Pippa had a horse growing up and also agisted a few horses on her family property, so she’s experienced at feeding, grooming, rugging, worming and exercising horses, and also able to identify common health issues such as limping, colic, conjunctivitis, etc, and knows when to call the vet if needed. She also spent a couple of years working as a pet (dogs, cats, fish & ponies) and house-sitter in Brisbane while she was at uni, so she is confident and happy walking / playing with and caring for all and any breeds of dogs.

In our future dream lives we want to buy some land in a rural area near the coast, have lots of animals, plant & grow lots of organic food and live quiet sustainable lives. So we’d appreciate the opportunity to gain any insights and skills into the lifestyle to help us in the future.

We don’t drink, smoke or party, we love living an active lifestyle (surfing, swimming, hiking and running), and we would love a place to relax over the holidays and avoid the summer vacation rush at the caravan parks, so please let us know if we can help each other out :) We're currently in Byron Bay but are happy to travel to anywhere on the east coast (NSW, VIC, QLD), Tasmania or South Australia.

We will leave your home exactly as you left it, and we are happy to do as much cleaning, maintenance and gardening as is required to keep your home in pristine condition. Read more...
