Neil and I are a happily married couple in our sixties who are friendly, trustworthy, reliable and respectful of people's property, possessions and privacy. We are both healthy and active non-smokers who enjoy life and being outdoors.

When our two daughters (now in their 30's) were growing up we had cats, guinea pigs and a budgie. When Elspeth worked part-time we looked after 4 guide dog puppies and since retiring we have raised our 5th guide dog puppy, because of this we are familiar with the responsibility of borrowing a pet and the importance of following the owners instructions to ensure their pet remains calm, happy and feeling secure in familiar surroundings.

The concept of house-sitting in the UK and overseas experiencing life and living in different countries not just as tourists but as (temporary) residents and looking after someone's home and their pets sounds a perfect way to explore places we may not have thought of.

In 2023 we began house-sitting arranged through a world-wide website (references available) and have cared for three homes with pets in QLD, one with 5 dogs, 2 cats and chickens plus one elderly dog on medication in the UK. Along with gardens, pot plants and a number of pools.

This year (2024) we have cared for five homes with pets; one in QLD, one in NSW , two in the UK and two in France.

We arrived back in QLD on 4 December 2024 and are here until 26 February 2025.

Currently our preference is to house-sit in either QLD or NSW so we can spend time and be close to our daughter, Fiona, who lives in Brisbane.
