Hellooo!

Milly here, I am a Kiwi who recently moved to Australia from Christchurch, New Zealand. I’m based in the sunny southwest of Brisbane, renting a family property while I save up to travel at the end of next year. I work as a Nanny (until August 31st, then back to working online) two days a week (Wednesday & Friday) from 9-5pm, but I have the flexibility to return and feed your pets during the day (if not more than an hour away). I have various skills including housekeeping, cleaning, gardening, cooking, pet sitting, childminding, and many more!

I am a happy, upbeat, non-smoker who enjoys the outdoors, a good book, and a good movie in the evenings. I also love to explore new places.

In New Zealand, I did a lot of housesitting/pet sitting for friends and family while working full time. I even took on my co-worker’s German Shepherd three times a week for the night while he did night shifts. I loved it so much that I want to continue housesitting/pet sitting here. I am new to Mindahome and need new references on this site but have private references!

Growing up, we always had animals in the house. Mostly, we had cats, but we also had rabbits, hamsters, rats, and a dog. I am a massive animal lover of all sorts; to the point that if there is an animal in a movie, I have to make sure it’s going to be alright, otherwise I can’t watch it. I even got myself into a calving season once just to be able to work with the cows and calves! There will be no shortage of cuddles, walks, and company for your fur baby <3. I will take very good care of your house and treat your pets as if they were my own. You will be sure to get plenty of updates!

I am currently a homeowner myself and have been for 8 years now, running it as a full-time Airbnb for 2 years. I am very house-proud, so I would take great pride in ensuring your house is clean and looked after as I would my own. I know what it takes to look after a property and can ensure that no job is too big (inside or outside) nor a hassle. My main goal is for homeowners to have a relaxed and stress-free break while I look after their homes and pets.

I just finished apartment sitting in the Gold Coast for the last 2 weeks, so I have another reference I can add.

I’m flexible with dates and assignment lengths. No pet? No problem! I’m happy to look after just your home and garden too.

COMMUNICATION:

I am super big on this. I believe it is KEY! My promise is to always send homeowners photos of their pets and little updates so you can feel relaxed and know things are being taken care of. I am easy to reach by phone, video call, text, WhatsApp, or email.

I am happy to meet and do a trial at your place to establish our routine and preferences so we’re all safe and enjoy the sit with mutual respect. Being a local, I can visit you prior to the sit, which helps both pets and people to feel comfortable.

Please note: I think taking care of your home and pets is a win-win for everyone. That's why I don’t charge for our services or expect to pay for utilities.
