Hello! We are a responsible, retired couple seeking house-sitting/pet-caring placements in Melbourne from August 2023. We are respectful, tidy and caring people, very experienced with animals, and lifelong pet-owners/animal-lovers. Pam is a green thumb (great with plants!), while Dave is handy around the house and a dab hand at looking after the garden/section.

We have excellent references, including from a family in West Footscray who we house-sat for over Christmas 2022/23 while caring for their lovely cat and chickens (phone/email reference available).

We are seeking house/pet-sitting placements while we settle in and find a home to buy in Melbourne. We've just sold our house in New Zealand and are relocating permanently to be closer to our kids and grandchildren.

We're both nature-lovers, keen readers, non-smokers, live a quiet lifestyle, and like a good cup of coffee. Longer placements would suit us best (2+ weeks). Location is flexible, but inner suburbs would be ideal, preferably with a nearby park.

Please note - our small dog, Ben (age 4), will be coming with us. Ben is a well-behaved, gentle and friendly boy, great with other dogs and cats, and fully house-trained. (He’s not allowed on furniture, but likes sitting on laps!) He's a bichon/shih tzu cross.

We are very happy to take care of any resident pets, as long as they will be okay with a small, gentle dog being in their space. We've owned dogs and cats most of our lives, and we've also owned chickens, horses, goats, goldfish, and sheep! We are fit and active, but probably not best suited to care for a large, strong dog who pulls hard on the lead.
