Hello, we are Gill and Ric, a retired professional couple who love to travel and really enjoy taking good care of pets and their owners' homes and gardens as we make our way around Australia.

We have a genuine love for animals and have looked after a variety of family pets. We understand pets need company, familiar routines and dogs in particular need plenty of exercise and that fits in with our love of walking.

Now retired we are back on the road after several years living in Noosa . We have a long list of references and great relationships (human and non-human) from our current and previous extended period of house-sitting.

Even while we've been based in Noosa over the past few years, we've continued to regularly take care of Penn one of our very first dog-sits from many years ago. Penn's recently moved away and we miss him madly.

We are responsible, fit, non-smoking, clean home-owners and pride ourselves in taking very good care of the homes and gardens entrusted to us.

A little background on us; Ric had a long and successful career as a journalist, foreign and war correspondent and manager of large TV newsrooms. Gill was a senior fashion buyer in London for 19 years before taking a sabbatical to live in Spain and Mexico for a couple of years. Gill changed careers becoming involved in social justice work and women's support groups. We met travelling in South America 20 years ago and now travel mostly in Australia.

Having retired we now split our time between housesitting, camping/ bush walking in remote Australian national parks and using our professional skills volunteering for Australian Business Volunteers overseas.

We are very keen gardeners and belong to our local community garden where we grow organic fruit and vegetables. On the road we enjoy looking after the gardens left in our care - one sit we looked after 200+ Bonsai trees through an exceptionally hot summer and they all survived.
