We are both retired Valter (59) and Andrew (50) and we’ve been together for 14+ years, the last 12 of which, we’ve spent living & working in Thailand. We now live in Brisbane Australia since May 2018.

Andrew retired about 12 years ago from his Customer Service manager position to work on his photography and music production interests, while I had continued in my career with a major hotel and serviced residence chain in Bangkok, Thailand as an Area Manager responsible for several hotels.

We are open minded, trustworthy, experienced travellers with good attention to detail and have lots of experience house sitting over the past 3 years. We are people and pet oriented (except cats as Andrew is allergic) and non-smokers.
We have always wondered how we would transition into retirement and had considered operating our own bed and breakfast somewhere, thinking that it would allow us to continue using our work skills more casually, but, we also wanted to continue travelling. Now that we are retired, we think that house sitting will be a good compromise, allowing us to continue to look after people and their houses, pets and garden, while we see some more of the world in a less rushed manner.

We both enjoy and maintain a clean and tidy home, with bills paid on time and unexpected house needs dealt with quickly. We are each from large families and country towns in Australia so we have had the room to have many pets over the years including dogs,birds, fish, rabbits and turtles etc. Birds seem to be drawn to Andrew and I especially enjoy pottering in a garden and looking after house plants.
