We are a married couple in our early forties, we love traveling and meeting people and we absolutely adore animals, especially dogs!

We have spent the last fourteen years working together overseas in the luxury mega yacht industry as Captain and Chief Stewardess, looking after high profile families (royalty, businessmen, movie stars, rock stars and the occasional rapper!). Apart from taking care of the day-to-day needs of our guests, our main responsibility was to maintain their luxury yachts and villas.

We've recently returned to the southern hemisphere and are currently spending time in Australia to see family and friends. My husband is from NZ and is keen to see more of my home state Victoria. We've rented out our own home in Queenstown, New Zealand until September 2016 so we are available for both long and short term house sits.

As much as we've loved traveling we've really missed having our own pets. We have been lucky enough to have dogs to care for on board the yachts including two incredibly smart standard poodles who lived on board for three months, we took care of everything from meal times, toilet breaks with a full report to the owner, taking them ashore for walks along the beach and checking the plastic covers on their nails so they didn't scratch the expensive flooring! On a separate yacht we had a very nervous Yorkshire terrier, he was onboard on and off for 2 years, he took a lot of time to get to know us and needed lots of love and reassurance.

On our recent three month holiday in Turkey we 'adopted' five dogs belonging to the guard house at the apartment development, we took them on a one hour walk every day along the cliff tops then down to the beach, we hung out with them at every opportunity. They would sneak down to our gate and line up outside instead of guarding the development. We were very sad to say goodbye and we still miss them, we'd really like to take another trip to Turkey just to visit. Call us crazy but we took hundreds of photos, a few attached!

We have house sat for close friends over the years and looked after their two gorgeous shitzu maltese cross terriers, really kind and gentle dogs, they used to enjoy walks and playing ball but are getting older now so they just chill on the deck and enjoy a good pat and a cuddle.

My husband's family bred Jack Russell's when he was a child so he learnt a lot about the breed and always had lots of fun mischievous puppies to look after! I had my own beautiful dog 'Soxi' for 13 years, a golden retriever, kelpie mix, we bought him at a local market and he was the joy of my life.

We are passionate renovators and always have a project on the go, we have renovated many a property in NZ and Aust whilst living overseas which was quite challenging. We just love anything and everything to do with houses, I have studied interior design and worked in real estate in my early twenties. When traveling we visit real estate agencies and check out property prices and drive around looking at homes, we also surf real estate websites for fun! We permanent rent our properties in New Zealand and also holiday rent our main home in Queenstown which is set up and run as a business. We truly understand the importance of maintaining a home.

As sitters you can be assured we'll adopt your pets and love them as our own and your house will be meticulously cared for.

We are currently staying with family on the Mornington Peninsula and are available to meet with you and your pets ahead of time to get to know each other and understand your needs. Read more...
