More information about this house sitter
A professional couple in our late-twenties balancing remote work and travel to do our best to explore this beautiful country. Experienced house-sitters with several repeat clients - always with positive feedback. We strive to keep pets safe and happy, and take pride in returning your home to you as if we’d never been there – or else in even better shape if you’d prefer!
To sum us up in a few words: friendly, considerate, reliable, relaxed, open-minded and resourceful. Tell us what you need. Each housesit is an opportunity for us to learn about a new area, make new connections and enjoy the dearly missed company of a furry friend for a while.
We’re experienced with all types of animals including dogs, cats, fish, birds and livestock: huge and small, young and old, cuddly or grumpy as the case may be. We are active and able-bodied and can maintain whatever feeding/exercise/medication requirements may exist.
Happy to mow lawns and tend plants, clean and manage the home, or take on a new challenge as required.
We keep a clean and tidy home and are practiced at respecting others’ belongings and space, having lived in share homes together for several years. We also have an immaculate rental history and are well-regarded guests on Airbnb. Both non-smokers.
Here is a quick bio:
Lae is an engineer working remotely for a company in Melbourne. She grew up on acreage in Tasmania with her family which included at various times: huskies, cats and too many to count chickens. She moved to the ‘mainland’ for work after graduating from university but returns home a few times a year to visit her cats despite telling her parents it's actually to see them. Despite having adapted to city life, she values the simple things and enjoys hiking, camping and exploring new places.
Will is a naval architect/designer working remotely for a company in NZ. He grew up a bit here, there and everywhere and has a love for the environment and outdoors, particularly when it comes to being in, on and around the ocean. He has prior labourer and farm-work experience and is a general all-rounder. He says he’s a dog person and insists he doesn’t like cats, even whilst admitting a strong fondness for the ones him and Lae have looked after so far as house-sitters... (apparently this is only because all of those were 'rare, special, nice cats…’. Mmhm sure Will, you're not fooling anyone.)
Please don't hesitate to contact us for further information. We would be happy to arrange a time to meet so that you can feel confident and comfortable in placing your trust with us.
Best regards,
Will & Lae Read more...
