Hi there. Paul and I are a mature, active happily married couple who are fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy new experiences and environments through house and pet sitting assignments.

Having spent many years working with animals in both the veterinary scene and the farming industry, we consider ourselves to be compassionate, practically minded and competent in looking after and maintaining property and ensuring the health and welfare of your pets and/or stock. Further more, Paul has more recently enjoyed a career in the security field.

We are responsible, reliable and trustworthy non-smokers who appreciate and love the home environment and enjoy the company of animals. With the passing of the last of our beloved pets, we look forward to new adventures through house and pet sitting assignments.

We would currently like to concentrate our sitting assignments in and around the Gold coast area as our children and grandchildren reside here. Having such strong family bonds, we would love to be in travelling distance to visit them regularly.

WHY WE WANT TO HOUSE SIT

We consider house sitting such a privilege and a win/win situation for both parties. It is such a fabulous opportunity and exciting way for us to meet new people, enjoy new experiences, different environments and cultures in addition to allowing us to exercise our love for animals. It also gives home owners the security in the knowledge that entrusting their home and loved family pets to us, their property and family are well looked after, loved and cared for, allowing home owners the ability to travel with complete peace of mind.

WHAT WE BRING TO THE ASSIGNMENT / RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

My husband and I have both worked in animal orientated careers and having owned both rural and urban properties, we are proud to be able to offer compassion, practability, sound knowledge and competence in looking after and maintaining properties and ensuring the health and welfare of your pets and stock.

For the past 10 years, I have enjoyed working in the veterinary field having spent time in both a large city vet clinic and a small rural vet practice in a diverse roll of nurse assistant / receptionist / administration. This involves everything from assisting vets and nurses with both companion and production animals through to receptionist and administration duties. With this experience, I am happy and confident in medicating animals and quick to recognise any health issues that may arise. I also have a huge passion for the home environment having had a long enjoyable career in the architectural and landscape design field.

My husband has spent 25 plus years in the farming industry (predominantly dairy). We have also owned a lifestyle block running a wide and varied range of stock. He is practically minded, possesses great stockman-ship skills ensuring the health and welfare of stock, respectful and confident with machinery and the day to day running and maintaining of property. In addition to farming, he has also worked for Armaguard Currency Management, involving security and the movement of currency in the retail, commercial and business sectors. A position requiring honesty, integrity and efficiency. A credited comprehensive police and security check is required to hold a position in this field.

We have willingly undertaken a complete police check ensuring peace of mind for the home owners, which we are happy to provide along with references.
