Hello! We are Amber and Sam. We've been inseparable since our awkward teenage days, now married over ten years later. We live in Portland, Oregon, USA where Amber is a certified public accountant and Sam is a mechanical engineer for a large corporation. Atop our list of favorite things, you'll find cats & dogs (of course), delicious food, good movies, good music, and art projects. We are especially clean, quiet, and conscientious people whose Friday nights are most often spent curled up on the couch with cats and Netflix or cooking a delicious meal with friends. This year we've decided to leave behind our home and our jobs to travel the world for a year. We hope that caring for your home will guide us throughout our trip and provide much needed doses of pet affection.

Our experience comes first and foremost from caring for our own pets throughout our lives. We've both grown up with cats and dogs as family members for as long as we can remember, and for the last 5 years, we've been parents to our own very lovable cats named Julian and Rajah. Additionally, on our trip so far we have completed a 2 week house sit in England caring for a sweet cat named Oscar, cared for 25 cats at a cat hotel (for owners on holiday) in Sweden, and gave daily walks to three wonderful pups in the south of France. We've also spent many weekends caring for Amber's mother's three dogs, cat, and home while they're away as well as the occasional pug-sit for one of our good friends. We are no strangers to the necessities of walks, feedings, routines, cleanups, litter boxes, cuddles, and other requisite responsibilities of pet parents. We have owned our own home in Portland, Oregon for over a year now which has cemented our appreciation for a house as its own kind of family member. As such, we are comfortable with the need for care and maintenance that comes with homeownership.
