Our names are Marco and Denise! We are a retired couple from Switzerland looking to explore every corner of Australia in our Campervan, (6.4 meters). We both lived in Switzerland until our early retirement in 2024. Marco has been a police officer for 35 years and Denise was a geriatric nurse.
Marco first came to Australia in 1985 to visit his brother and meet our first baby niece! I fell in love with the country and stayed for several years, becoming an Australian Citizen during this time. During a trip home I met Denise, and we chose to stay in Switzerland to pursue our careers, but it has always been the dream to return to Australia in our retirement. Since our move back, Denise has become an Australian Resident. We are currently living with Marco’s brother and his lovely wife in Coffs Harbour, where we are exploring the beautiful coast. We take regular trips down to Sydney to visit my niece, who is a high school teacher, and nephew, who is also a Police Officer!
We have extensive experience caring for a variety of pets – Marco was a Police Dog Handler and has extensive experience training large breeds. Our beloved pet Simba (who is in the photo) sadly passed away in 2020. We are an active and fit couple, who enjoy going for walks and would treat your family pets like our own, taking them on walks and playing with them regularly. My brother’s wife has chickens, ducks and geese and we have enjoyed feeding them and collecting eggs daily.
We might have accents but our English is strong (we are still learning Australian slang) and we believe in maintaining open and regular communication with homeowners. You will receive frequent updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing everything is going smoothly. We are flexible and willing to cater to your specific needs and preferences.
