ABOUT ME:

I'm Courtney, in my mid twenties and am originally from Perth, WA. (I'm also single and a non-smoker just to keep your mind at ease). I've lived in NSW, Melbourne and Tasmania and also Perth(my parents moved us around a lot). Naturally i've caught the travel bug and can't sit still in one spot for more than 6 months without wanting to explore somewhere new. So now I've moved myself and my car over to Melbourne and will be here so long as there is a housesit for me. Or I may eventually end up finding a suburb on my housesitting adventures that I'd love to call home and end up finding a place for myself.

Most recently I completed a 2 year work visa in Vancouver, Canada where I worked as a receptionist at a veterinary clinic(spy my second photo - Aspen was another employees dog who quite enjoyed siting on people's shoulders). I absolutely LOVED working there and getting to experience life in a whole new country. Sadly the only reason I left was my visa ending. I loved coming to work every day and getting to greet and help care for animals and really getting to know them and their owners well.
After having been back home for most of 2019 spending time with family, it's time to jet off again on another adventure and begin looking after your homes and animals!

I've completed 5 house sits now mostly through aussiehousesitters(another housesitting site) and one was through MindaHome. I'm now onto my sixth! I'm really loving it so far and look forward to future house sits in Melbourne and beyond!

I'm a huge homebody. I tend to love the cold over the heat and spend most of my time at home catching up on a good TV series or my long running list of films or working out. I work at night from about 5pm onwards delivering for UberEats at the moment to make my money - which leaves the entire day for me to spend time with your pets and tend to responsibilities in the household. Doing Uber Eats is perfect for me and for doing housesitting - it's flexible and I love the freedom it gives me being able to choose my hours/choose when I want to work AND I can do it anywhere in Australia. I occasionally like to get out of the house and meet with a friend for dinner or go to a concert but if I do get out and about its usually at night time when I would be working anyway. But for the most part, I am home all day during the days and out at night time working usually between 5pm-10pm or 12am depending on how dead or busy it is.

WHY I WANT TO HOUSE SIT FOR YOU:

As you can tell from above, I love exploring new places - I don't like being tied down and love the freedom housesitting provides in terms of travel. The idea of getting to stay in someone's home and caring for their animals in their absence in exchange for somewhere cosy to stay for a bit while I explore the surrounding area sounds like a pretty amazing deal to me - a win win for both of us. You have the peace of mind someone is minding your home and taking care of your furry family members for free instead of paying hundreds of dollars for a kennel or cattery and I get to travel slowly and temporarily explore new areas and places in the company of your animals.

WHY YOU CAN COUNT ON ME:

I'm single, have no pets myself or children to have to worry about, just little old me. I'll always put your pets first and any other responsibilities in the house. I treat your home with respect and as I would my own. I have been a pet owner all my life from a young child, to a young adult. Have had birds, rabbits, dogs and cats. Being the main carer of our family pets over the years I understand the need for a responsible and caring person in your absence. I can be that for you! I'm comfortable around all animals. Having just recently worked in a Veterinary clinic where I was constantly helping out nurses feed, give medication and walking in patient animals, I'm comfortable getting to know new furry friends.

In terms of looking after a house, as mentioned above I've completed three house sits now and all three owners have come home to a clean house and happy pets!

Most of my work experience in the past has been as a real estate receptionist and so I understand the level of care and respect that is required as a renter to live in someone else's home. I have also myself rented homes both in Melbourne and Vancouver which the landlords were happy with how I lived in and left their homes.

Notes:
- I will be bringing along my car to all sits (only a small car, Suzuki Alto) so would need room to park it
- I do work doing UberEats in whatever area I am in (so super nearby the house) from around 5pm onwards most nights. This can be negotiated if you don't feel comfortable with this as I don't really have a boss and can do it whenever I choose to

I will happily cuddle, feed and walk your fury friends, tend to your gardens & plants, keep the place spick and span, take care of mail and keep you in the loop if need be while looking after your home.
