Hello home owners

After a 5 year house sitting hiatus, we are thrilled to be hitting the road, this time with our two beautiful kids in tow, to do some exploring and enjoy looking after your animals.

About us - Liz is a stay-at-home mum working 2 days per week remotely for the public service. Liz grew up on a beef/ sheep farm, which later converted to dairy, and is confident handling larger animals. Kal is an acupuncturist, a stay-at-home Dad, and will enjoy some time off over Summer. Leo (5) and Ayla (2) are both happy, relaxed kids who are absolutely fascinated by animals, but are gentle and timid around them.

Liz and Kal are experienced house-sitters, having house sat for 3 years continuously whilst saving for a house, working full time in the public service and running a busy inner city acupuncture clinic in Canberra. We managed our house sitting bookings through several house-sitting sites, and have excellent references and reviews from the same. We love animals, so we would be very happy to ensure your pets are happy, health and well exercised.

During our time house sitting, we have looked after a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, fish, rats, turtles, snakes, lizards, pigeons, llamas, sheep, cattle and wallabies. We are enthusiastic gardeners, and are happy to take care of your plants, lawn, pool and anything else you need around the home and yard.

We’ve had a 5 year break from house sitting, during which time we purchased and sold a home, started a family, ran a home stay for international students, moved to King Island, renovated and landscaped our new home, and started an acupuncture and Nordic walking clinic.

Having been on King Island for all of covid, now that travel is possible again, we are thrilled to get back on the road. We are looking forward to meeting your animals, going on walks, visiting local playgrounds, pools and beaches whilst looking after your home.

We would prefer house sits where the owner is comfortable with our children joining us. We are cautious with our children around animals and will ensure our children around supervised around your pets and property.

We have family and friends to stay with in the region between house sits, so we have some flexibility with dates. We are practical, responsible and reliable people, and look forward to hearing from you. Read more...
