About this house sitting position in Banksia

We are heading to the UK to get married and will be away for 7 weeks. Whilst we are away, we need someone to look after the house, water outdoor plants, mow lawn when needed and look after our two cats.

Our cats Millie and Harry would prefer to stay in their own home whilst we are away so that their routine and scenery isn’t disturbed. Both would cause extra distress on top of us leaving them.

Millie is a hunter and will bring you roaches, mice, skinks and lizards. So the squeamish best not apply! She’s not the most cuddly kitten but doesn't mind a stroke and you can scoop her up for a short cuddle before she runs off outside to explore. She also loves playing with her ball and mouse.
Harry is a big cuddly ginger with so much love to give. He will hang out with you all day and evening. Loves his food and having a good chat. He is 12 and is on a low-salt diet. With old age he mainly just wants to relax and sleep most of the day.

Harry can get a bit grumpy with Millie. He doesn't like to share us... he no longer wants to 'play'... and he can get quite hangry. So they get put to bed separately at night and we have to keep an eye on meal times. Millie is a grazer and Harry will have her food for dessert if you don't watch out!

Our home is a detached cottage in Banksia, near Rockdale. It has a courtyard at the rear and a small garden with lawn. There is a front hedge too, but with winter approaching it may be ok for maintenance.

Millie is initially apprehensive around strangers and very nervous around children, therefore we unfortunately cannot have anyone with small children (U14). This is to minimise the stress on the fur children. Read more...
