About this house sitting position in Black Mountain, Noosa Hinterland - Aug 12 - Sep 2, 2026

We require sitters to stay at our beautiful old historic colonial Queenslander on 9 acres, 5 of which are fully usable and reasonably flat.

Home is 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, laundry, living room and kitchen with wide open front and back veranda.

Back veranda is a secure catio, if you have a cat it’s most welcome to stay too!

All rooms are air conditioned. House has Netflix and Wifi, timber floors, tongue and groove walls, high ceilings and lovely views all round.

We have an attached picket fence dog yard to the side of the house and pets as follows:

Dogs:
3 dogs (1 x friendly, social chihuahua called Dingo, 1 x tan and white friendly Bull Arab dog called Blue, 1 x black and white friendly Bull Arab x Mastiff called Ranger)
Low maintenance - 1 feed daily and top up of water buckets

Cats:
Moby (Sphynx, extremely social and friendly)
Toby (Modern Oriental, friendly and inquisitive)
Low maintenance, 2 x feeds daily, scoop of litter boxes x 2 and top up of water

Alpacas:
3 x white Suri female alpacas, Sandra, Kate and Kara… Sandra loves a cuddle and is super social! All 3 are safe, friendly and low maintenance, just need a hard feed of grain nightly and top of up water in trough when low

Sheep:
2 x Ewe’s, 3 x lambs (all friendly), just need nightly hard feed of grain and top up of water when trough low

Cattle:
2 x friendly Brahman steers, no maintenance needed - grass eaters with damn for water

Chickens:
25 in total (but fluctuates with broody hens and chicks at times)… including a few roosters. All friendly, mixed breeds, all go to their coops of a night time which just have to be closed up on dark to avoid predators.

We have a plunge pool with lovely private valley and paddock views, easy access and plenty of parking for a caravan or other vehicles.

Taking up residence inside would be preferred to keep animals company when you are here, however not a priority.

Happy for you to bring your own small dog or cats, must just be mindful of wildlife as well as the safety of our chickens - indoor animals preferred.

There is the possibility guest cats may be staying at cat hotel business on-site while we are away, but will be minimal numbers (no more than 4) and no arrival or departures of guest cats while we are gone.

This is the ideal stay for folks wanting to experience a bit of hobby farm life, we welcome families with children of any age (great spot for kids!).

Close to Cooroy and Pomona (10 mins) on sealed easy roads, IGA in both towns. 30 mins to Noosa for the beach and lots of great cafes and restaurants.

Have surfboards, push bikes, can am buggy to use, also a kids cubby with TV and lounge, tree swing and lots of lovely manicured paddock for picnics or to kick a ball around.

Bedrooms are set up as follows;

Main bed with King Size bed (sleeps 2)
Bedroom 2: single bed with trundle (can sleep 2)
Bedroom 3: single bed with mattress beneath (sleeps 2)
Sunroom: can sleep an additional 2 if needed
