About this house sitting position in Boompa
We live on a cattle property bordering a National Park. We have two residences housing two generations of our family. Sometimes, we need to be away at the same time so it would be wonderful to have a reliable housesitter. We have four working dogs and three small furbabbies who love to be spoilt. All dogs have secure kennels. We also have chooks who like a daily run & to be fed & watered. (You’re welcome to the eggs!) The rest of the farm is self managing for short periods of time so there would be no other farm responsibilities. We have a few houseplants which need watering occasionally. It is very quiet & peaceful with lots of opportunities for bush walking. The closest small town is 20 minutes drive for basic groceries. We have nbn satellite wifi & good mobile reception. We have plenty of room to park your motorhome otherwise accommodation would be in the newly renovated 3 bedroom cottage with reverse cycle air conditioning. Lesley's welcoming communication from the word go was indicative of what lay ahead for us at this classic and well cared for family farm.
All members of the family greeted us warmly as did all 7 of their hilariously entertaining dogs.
All ran like clockwork during our stay allowing us ample time to kick back on the verandah and take in the 300 degree hill and mountain views from their tastefully restored original homestead dwelling.
Can we recommend a stint at this cattle station? For lovers of wide open skies with not a light on the horizon - absolutely!
Would we return? Like all 7 dogs onboard, our tails would be wagging.
