Thank you to everyone who has shown support for CCCAG members, John, Liisa, Ella and Danny, along with others, who were fined $8000 each for taking peaceful protest action at Adani's Abbot Point coal port. We believe this to be the highest amount ever for a peaceful act of civil disobedience in Australia. The defendants have lodged appeals against the severity of their sentences, and are grateful to have the advice of well respected solicitors and barristers.
