About this house sitting position in Bruce
We live in a spacious, sun-filled 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment on the third (top) floor in a small complex in Bruce (sorry, no lift - think of it as a free gym!) with one friendly cat. We enjoy stunning views of sunsets over the Brindabellas from our dining room and enjoy summer evenings on our balcony, looking out at the trees that surround us!
It's a beautiful and quiet area, with a variety of bushwalking trails nearby, even though it is a fairly built up area. There is a bar, café, florist, take away shop and convenience store an easy walk away, and it's a 6 minute drive to Belconnen for groceries and the mall, or a 10 - 15 minute drive to Dickson, Braddon and the city for cafés, bars and restaurants. We have a variety of bus routes with stops in easy walking distance, as well as a secure garage parking spot vacant for house-sitters to use.
The main bedroom and lounge-room both feature a ceiling fan and reverse cycle air conditioner/heater, and we have a stand-alone heater and fan for the spare room (with double bed). The main bedroom has an ensuite, whilst the spare room is across from the main bathroom and separate toilet. Currently, the main bedroom features a baby cot that can be moved to the side. Otherwise, the spare room comfortably sleeps two.
Our cat, Sookie, loves pats, food and the occasional lazy play. She spends most of her time snoozing; I would not describe her as energetic! So her needs are essentially: feeding, litter cleaning, cuddling and access to sunny parts of the house for a good nap session.
