About this house sitting position in Charnwood

I live in a 3 bedroom house with my husband and 4 year old, in a quiet cul-de-sac with a decent sized backyard for our 13 year old labrador, Oreo, to roam around in.
We are looking to visit my in-laws in Melbourne over Christmas and keen to get someone to house/pet sit rather than put Oreo into a kennel. Whilst he has coped ok before in a kennel, he is getting old now and not well socialised around other dogs - as the previous owners lived on a farm and he had no interaction with other dogs. (Thus, when we walk him, we don't let him off the lead).
Much as we'd love to take Oreo, it's just not practical for this particular trip. We would love for someone to come and look after Oreo in the comfort of our own home!
