About this house sitting position in Chermside West
Our home has three bedrooms (one double and two singles), one bathroom (shower and bathtub), one toilet, kitchen, living room and a very spacious and private deck that overlooks the back garden. There is also a "downstairs" area where we have a couch bed. The laundry room is also downstairs.
We are a few minutes' drive from a shopping centre (supermarket, pharmacy, greengrocer, butcher, baker, hairdresser, restaurants etc.) and less than 10 minutes away from the Chermside mall/cinema/aquatic centre/library. Driving into town takes about 20/25 minutes and the stop for the 345 bus that takes you straight into the centre is a few minutes' walk away.
Our lovely cat Loki will need to be fed a couple of times a day, this is our main requirement. He roams free in and out of the house but needs to be fed regularly and have his water changed, as the possums and the magpies regularly steal his food! He enjoys playing and being cuddled too when he's not sleeping, so it would be great for you to stay in our home if you love cats! We have plants on the deck and downstairs that will need watering every day or every second day, depending on the weather.
We love our house because: quiet and peaceful area, lovely breakfast time on the deck in the morning sun with plenty of birds singing, close to shops and amenities, a short distance from Brisbane centre, less than an hour's drive from beautiful Bribie island and Sunshine coast, Glasshouse mountains, etc. There is also a natural reserve just down the road (2 min walk) for lovely morning/evening walks - flying foxes, wallabies, kookaburras, etc.
