About this house sitting position in Cooroibah
Our home sits on one and a half acres of flat, landscaped land, a couple of kms from Lake Cooroibah, 7km from Tewantin and Noosa River, 12km from Noosa Beach. All can be easily reached by bike if riding is your thing. Our home has a very pleasant outdoor area which offers all year living, with its two ceiling fans, a dining and sitting area, just metres from our walk in swimming pool. Connected to this is our open plan family room/dining room next to our main kitchen with its own 'winter dining nook'. For quiet moments, an intimate sitting room is next to the front entrance. Although, we would prefer our main bedroom and ensuite to remain unused, we have two bedrooms (one with double bed, the other with two single beds) sharing one bathroom with separate powder room and toilet. There is also a small single bedroom which is mostly used as a sewing room. In another wing of the house is another open plan living area with its own kitchenette, double bedroom and bathroom. There is a low maintenance garden which won't need much beside mowing if our absence goes beyond a few weeks. We do have a push mower and a rideon as well. And we have a dog! Leader is an old 14 year old Border Collie/Husky. A very gentle dog rescued years ago from the RSPCA, he has never lost his temper! If he gets caught in the pool garden, he will just wait patiently by the gate: someone is bound to rescue him sometime! Unfortunately, he does follow his nose and should he get out of our main gates, he gets literally lost. So keep him inside the yard, we must!!! Being old, he sleeps most of the day. Leader likes to go and say hello to the two horses in the back paddock (not ours), has his daily walk around the boundary and stays outside all day. But as he ages, we have decided to move his bed inside at night. He is happy to stay alone all day, so our sitters will not be locked to our home as long as he has water and his bed is inside when night falls. We do have a Spin Bike and a Rowing machine, should our sitters want to stay fit, as well as a couple of kayaks. Also a couple of rather old but usable mountain bikes. With State Forests, Cooroibah Lake, Noosa River within a short driving distance, there is plenty to fill your active day! And of course, the whole Sunshine Coast is at one's doorstep. Read more...
