About this house sitting position in Corinda

We require a trust worthy house and pet sitter to look after our much loved pets and do some simple gardening and pool maintenance while we travel around Australia for 3 months.

We have a nearly 2 year old Shoodle named Jasper. He is a very excitable small dog who loves companionship, pats, a play and a walk.

We also have 3 chickens - who require little looking after, just check on their feed and water, clean their coop once a week or so and collect and enjoy fresh eggs.

Plus, we have a fish tank. This is the easiest of all to look after - and is the most tranquil and peaceful of all the animals. Just a pinch of food morning and night and they are happy. Top up their water as needed and occasionally wipe the glass so you can see them.

We live in a modest 3 bedroom home with an amazing back deck and pool. Perfect for lazy breakfasts. Even on the hottest days you can usually get a breeze and enjoy the small but usable back yard.

This house is home to my husband and I as well as two young boys. It is not a display home but it is a clean (most of the time) and comfortable space for my family to grow and have fun.

The downstairs area is tiled and relatively cool. We seem to get a nice cross breeze through the front windows and back door. The upstairs bedrooms are airconditioned.

The ideal applicant(s) would be someone who is able to be at home during the day for the dog. Couples are welcome, however we would prefer no small children. Our current situation is Mum and the youngest son are home during the day, so Jasper (our dog) is use to company. The successful person needs to love animals, be respectful of our home and be understanding of kids mess and clutter.

Please be aware that as we will be away for the July quarter we would ask that whoever stays in our home for this quarter to cover rates and all utility expenses you accrue.

We are hoping to have a trial run with any hopeful applicants for a weekend in the coming months in order to ensure both parties are happy. We don't want to be in the situation where someone changes their mind while we are away. We currently require someone in March (possibly weekend of the 17th) and over Easter. However, there will be other weekend stays available between now and July when we visit family interstate. You do not need to be available for all house sits. We understand you probably won't be.
