About this house sitting position in Dubbo

House & Pet Sitter Required – Dubbo NSW (March 2026)
We are a multi generational family based just 15km from the regional hub of Dubbo, located just off the Mitchell Highway in NSW. We are seeking a responsible, animal-loving house sitter for March 2026 while we are away.
Our property is situated.
The Home
We live in a large, comfortable family home featuring:
• 5 bedrooms
• 3 bathrooms
• Ducted / zoned reverse cycle air conditioning
• Swimming pool
• Spacious acreage setting
It offers a peaceful rural lifestyle while still being only 15 minutes from Dubbo’s shops, services and amenities.
The Animals
We have four much-loved Labradors — Bear, Dexter, Tilli and Jed. Two are ours and the other two belong to our son and his family. They are very used to being together and generally settle well as a group.
At feeding time, we separate the two pairs simply to avoid any food-related squabbles. They know the routine well and respond beautifully to it.
We also have a chook yard with 10 laying hens requiring daily feeding, water checks and egg collection.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
• Is confident handling multiple dogs
• Has experience with Labradors or larger breeds
• Is comfortable with poultry
• Can water the garden and maintain general oversight of the property
• Will provide genuine care and companionship to our animals
Our dogs are very much part of the family, so finding someone who enjoys spending time with them is important to us.
We have attached photos so you can meet the crew - the brown and cream Labs are Bear and Dexter, and Tilli and Jed are pictured in the wedding photo.
If you’re experienced, responsible and looking for a relaxed rural stay close to Dubbo, we would love to hear from you. Read more...
