About this house sitting position in Edgeworth

Free standing 3 bedroom single story home with reverse cycle air conditioning & ceiling fans throughout. Our home has secured entry, front and rear with remote access to driveway and carport via an electric gate (garage may be unavailable at this time). You can park an additional vehicle inside gates, but height of carport may restrict access for larger vehicles such as motorhomes - assess at time of arrival.
A large family room leads to a fully enclosed rear deck, providing additional indoor/outdoor living area. There is also a large covered outdoor entertainment area with BBQ at your disposal.
Complete with all manner of white goods, appliances entertainment systems, Apple TV, Netflix etc at your disposal. Yes we have wi-fi.
Absolutely no children ..... No smoking please.

Public transport is available at the end of our street, approx 40 Mtrs & we have a Coles & Aldi supermarket within walking distance. Glendale Shopping Centre is 5 mins drive with both Charlestown & Kotara Shopping Centres only 15 & 20 mins by car respectively. Both of these are large & have a number of boutiques.

If you are into movies we have a multi cinema complex at Glendale Shopping Centre (5 mins) or others further afield but within 30 mins by car.

Of course if your are into fishing and or watersports..
Lake Macquarie ( Australia's largest salt water lake) is just 20 mins by car. There you can book a lake tour or enjoy one of the many cafes which offer friendly service & cafe style food throughout the day. You can also take a fantastic & relaxing walk lakeside.

At our house you are on the fringe of the magnificent Hunter Valley Vineyards (30 mins west), renowned for it's Cabernet, but not exclusively. Many of the best wines are only sold via the cellar door, so you should treat yourself whilst you are in the area. The Vineyards offer a huge range of fantastic eateries which showcases heaps of locally grown produce, wines & cheeses... Go spoil yourself but best to book ahead especially if you are planning a visit on the weekend.

If you are into beaches, we can offer you the famous Merewether, Bar, Redhead & Nobby's Beaches which all offer their own wonders, walks & activities. Great for swimming & boardriding & all within 30-40 mins. Nobby's is the site of the beaching of the Pasha Bulker during the devasting floods which hit the area in June of 2007 & impacted through the entire Newcastle area beyond here.

We also boast the Port Stephens Shire which leads out to sea & you should checkout the Lily Hill lookout on the road into Nelson Bay for the most magnificent views over Port Stephens (about 1 hours drive from us). Here you will see the fantastic geography & if lucky, some whale migration, both up and back with new calves. Check out the eastern seaboard for some great beaches with a 4x4 opportunities along 9 mile beach.
In Port Stephens, you can take a dolphin tour & meet a number of our locally resident dolphins in the bay or take a whale watching tour.
Travel onwards after lunch & check out Fingal Bay, with the bay on one side of the peninsula & the sea on the other.

Now that we have enticed you to our area.... We have to say that we have two very adored & spoiled cats both of whom fret when we are away & love company and have full run of the house, which includes a sizeable and secure cat enclosure, giving them 24hr access. They are never allowed beyond the confines of the house. Our expectations are that our cats are cared for very well, receive lots of love & cuddles and that their routines are maintained such as feeding and litter trays kept clean. Please only absolute cat lovers apply!

We have gardens and a number of potted and hanging plants which may require watering during our absence.
