About this house sitting position in Fountaindale

I am looking for a lovely house sitter who loves cats, preferably a solo older lady with a calm demeanour who is used to anxious feline temperaments, who would like to rest and relax with my 6 cats on a beautiful, serene, shared 3.5 acre property. Non smoker, non or social drinker. No visitors/family/partners as it causes further anxiety for the kitties.
Westfield is just a 10 minute drive away, and you’ll be 20 minutes drive from the beach, however you’ll feel like you’re away from it all in the country in our secluded hideaway of a home. There are so many spaces to sit and read a book, do a puzzle, have a picnic, meditate, swim or laze by the pool etc. The birds are the only rowdy noises around. Lots of kookaburras and natives. You’ll also spot kangaroos, wallabies, maybe a fox or two, and if you’re lucky our little echidna family who snuffle through the grass from time to time.
I am looking for someone who really understands cats and is ok with 6. My 2 little feline boys can get anxious with new people and “spray” if let inside. They have a HUGE cattery that they live in that’s attached to the house and love it if you can spend some time out there enjoying the sunshine with them- just being there- they’ll come to you when they’re ready. With patience and understanding, they love attention and will enjoy hanging out on your lap. Patience for these 2 weirdos is a must, as if you get angry at them, their anxiety increases. The 2 older feline girls, and the 2 young ones- tortie girl and little black boy are love bugs, though you may not see Scarlett (grey floofikins) much at all as she could hide until meal times quite a bit. All 6 love to play - when they feel like it. If you “speak cat” you’ll understand :-) They are indoor only cats, with a couple of enclosed outdoor zones. They love to sleep near you if you let them (except the 2 tabby boys, who have their own sleeping houses in the cattery-their safe place), and are usually fed morning and evening around 6-6:30pm and I scoop their litters just after they’ve eaten twice per day. There is a cleaner once per week to help you out. I would love you to send me any cute pics or videos you get of them while I’m away.
My mother lives in a separate house next door on the same property, so if there are any questions help is just a door knock away.
I have Netflix, Stan, Prime and Disney logged in and wifi available. It’s a Google house, so voice commands are also possible for the tech savvy.
All instructions are in the folder I leave for you. I am happy for you to use anything in the pantry, as long as you leave me a note so I know what to replace.
Connected house- The washing machine and dishwasher send notifications after use, and the fridge sends a notification if it has any issues. The solar sends notifications if there’s excess energy use in the house (so an energy aware person would be a great fit), the garage, the kettle and some of the lights will send a notification when they’re switched on/off, the auto litters and the cats’ drinking bowls send notifications after use. The front door will send a notification when you use your code to open it. I tend to ignore these while I’m on holiday, but I like to be transparent about how the house works.
Security cameras- There’s one out the front, one on the cat zone out back and one on the far side of the house, one in the study, which is in a locked room, and one in the cattery where the tabby boys sleep (I check in occasionally to watch the cats laying in the sun- #crazycatperson!). I usually walk you through the locations of these on the pre-booking visit.
Please only apply if you have experience with multiple cat households and are willing to spend time with my fur kids and work with their routine.
Mum will definitely have a cup of tea or two with you a few times during your visit if you invite her in, and is there for any questions, big or small. Other than that, she generally stays at her house which adjoins mine via the garages and the terrace by the pool. You won’t know she’s there at all. Parking available in the driveway.
