About this house sitting position in Gemalla
Gemalla lies in the beautiful Fish River Valley, 34km from Bathurst.
The closest public bar and cafe is eight km away. It is a small settlement, the nearest permanent neighbour is few hundred meters away. Our property is an old horse breeding farm that used to belong to one family for over 100 years. There are stables and a sheering shed, part of the stables is used by us as a living space.
We also have a house which we use only for guests at the moment. It needs some repairs but it is functional, clean and tidy, with three bedrooms, bathroom, two toilets and new kitchen and large sunroom. All water is either rain water or from our bore.
This place is for someone who is seeking peace and quiet. There is TV but poor mobile reception. There is no landline connected in the house but the telephone can be used in the shed, as well as wireless connection to the internet.
We provide everything that we can, linen, bed covers, kitchen utensils, even some bottles of our wine and some basic good items like eggs, bread, milk, butter, jam etc. Food for the animals will be provided etc. Please feel free to ask questions.
