Breathtaking cosy stone cottage in Highland Valley in the Adelaide Hills with landscaped gardens and surrounding paddocks.
Open plan living area with wooden floorboards and high wooden cathedral ceilings. Separate large but comfortable living area for watching tv. The cottage has reverse cycle air conditioning and a combustion heater with a plentiful supply of kindling and logs.
The cottage is on 4 acres of serene, low maintenance land with amazing views and plenty of space for long bushwalks. There is a huge eagles nest a short walk from the dam, which is revisited every year by our resident Wedge Tail Eagles.
The cottage is just 15 minutes from Mount Barker in the North, or historic Strathalbyn in the South. Hahndorf is only 10 minutes from Mount Barker. We are close to Langhorne Creek Wineries and not far from a huge selection of other wineries, restaurants and cafes. The beach and the city are all in easy reach.
We have one Boxer dog - Bella, 2 1/2 years old and a Boston Terrier - Pepper, 6 months old. As well as two cats, four alpacas, 1 rooster and 5 chickens and 2 geese. All our animals are extremely well mannered, loved and lovable.
We need someone to love and care for our animals and our home while we are away. Our dogs can’t be left alone at night and so this house-sit would only suit people who are content to relax at home and enjoy the peace and ambience here, or go for day trips.
Experience, references and police clearance would be appreciated. There is plenty of room for a caravan or motor home.
