About this house sitting position in Kuranda
We need someone to house sit for 3 months from April to July 2026. We have a modern, well kept, open plan, 3 bedroom house, built for the tropics with a huge deck, located on a hectare of rainforest just outside Kuranda - "the village in the rainforest" in FNQ. We're 4 klms from the supermarket, service station, cafe's and restaurants in Kuranda, but cannot see any neighbours. It's quiet and private. An important requirement is to care for some birds - 6 budgies and a parrot, all housed in an outdoor aviary. There will be some maintenance of the grounds required (mowing, watering, etc) but we have all the equipment to do this. Also keeping batteries charged on a number of vehicles (we also have the equipment to do this). We are on septic system (not town sewerage) so knowledge of what's allowed would be an advantage. I've added some quick photos around the inside of the house and deck and can also supply a short youtube video of the part of the yard that needs looking after (site wouldn't recognise the link)
