About this house sitting position in Kurwongbah

We have a 3 bedroom home on 6 acres. We are looking for a couple or single person who can look after our 2 large dogs, 1 cat, and possibly 2 horses.
The cat is easy, he gets fed twice a day with a tablet in his food.
The dogs (a sheepadoodle (8 yrs) and a flat coat retriever (6 yrs) are inside dogs. They are allowed on the couch and sleep in our room. You must be comfortable with animals being part of the family!
They don’t need to be walked, just a ball throwing session in the afternoon on the front lawn is fine. Although Steve the retriever will ask for hours and hours of ball throwing!
Full disclosure, living on acreage with dogs can mean floors get dirty quickly - especially if it’s been raining for a while. If you get stressed with a bit of mess this probably isn’t the house sit for you!
We are happy for you to bring your caravan, plenty of room to park, but we would want you to live inside our house.
The dogs don’t need someone home all day every day, but we would like someone who either works from home or is retired - basically to be at home part of the day and during the evening/nights.
The horses need hay thrown over the fence in the morning, and feed mixed and put in their feed bins at night. There is a possibility they will be agisted elsewhere, so you wouldn’t have to worry about them,but this hasn’t been confirmed.
The lawn will need mowing (ride on) and if it doesn’t rain, which is very unlikely, the gardens will need watering every few days. It’s not a hard job but it can be a bit time consuming. If you love gardening and feel like pulling out weeds from time to time, that would get you bonus points but it’s not expected!
The pool doesn’t need a lot of work unless there is a LOT of rain, in which case it will need to be backwashed and possibly chemicals put in. But that’s unlikely.
Unfortunately we can’t take anyone with dogs, or children - our dogs are not used to either and it wouldn’t be fair on anyone. Read more...
