Picture a home that is more like a retreat, surrounded by a lot of green! Hugged on one side by rain-forest; and cattle grazing on the other side. If you want to go somewhere so quiet that you can hear the cattle moving through the grass at night; be within walking distance of a beautiful 70m deep volcanic crater lake with the most crystal clear water to swim in (we call it our personal swimming pool); and yet 10 minutes drive from Malanda or Yungaburra, 20 minutes drive from Atherton, or an 1 and 1/2 hours drive from Cairns in Far North Queensland; then this semi rural place is for you! The house has a large kitchen, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Wifi, an upright piano, large DVD collection, plenty of books to read, a large undercover patio that is perfect for summer BBQs, plus a fire pit, playground and 2 very lovable dogs. The property runs on tank water, and bore water. It is a very private place, with an 800m long gravel driveway that meanders across a creek, through the rainforest and up a hill, with a gate to keep our dogs in. We would love someone to come and stay whilst we are away, and be present for our dogs as well as making sure everything is well with our home. What do you think?
